Pepsi Scholarships

The PepsiCo Foundation made a $250,000 contribution to the Foundation's New Century Fund Campaign, creating the Pepsi Scholarship Fund to benefit graduating seniors from the Marriott Hospitality High School in Washington, D.C. This endowed gift provides perpetual scholarships to graduates of the Marriott High School who are enrolled in undergrad hospitality-related degree programs.

BP Community Scholarship Program

BP employees, dealers and jobbers in Chicagoland began the community scholarship program in 1987 as a way to invest in the success of youth in neighborhoods where they operate businesses. Since its inception 19 years ago, the program has continued to grow and has expanded to other BP markets including New York and Washington D.C. The scholarship program has provided more than $4 million in scholarships to nearly 2,900 promising students. A current high school senior planning to enroll as a full-time student (12 semester hours or more) in an accredited two or four-year college or university in the U.S. for the 2006 - 2007 academic year. � Possess at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale. � Be able to demonstrate financial need.


University of Michigan Alumni Club Scholarship Program

The U-M Alumni Club of Washington, DC offers a $25,000 ($6,250 per year) scholarship to promising High School Seniors from the greater Washington, D.C. metropolitan area who will be attending the University of Michigan. The scholarship is renewable for four years.

New Jersey Scholarships

Bernard Kilgore Memorial Scholarship

The Bernard Kilgore Memorial Scholarship will be awarded following a statewide competition sponsored by the Garden State Scholastic Press Association and the New Jersey Newspaper Foundation. The scholarship, valued at $5,000, will be awarded by the New Jersey Newspaper Foundation, which administers the Bernard Kilgore Memorial Scholarship Fund. The recipient will be named the New Jersey High School Journalist of the Year and will be entered in a competition for the National High School Journalist of the Year, operated by the Journalism Education Association. Qualifications:
1. Be a graduating high school senior.
2.Be planning to study journalism in college and to pursue a journalism career.
3.Have at least a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
4.Have participated in high school journalism for at least two years.


New Jersey Society of CPAs College Scholarship Program

The New Jersey Society of CPAs College Scholarship Program provides scholarships to accounting students at New Jersey colleges. The scholarships are available to college students currently in their junior year or seniors who will be entering an accounting-related graduate program. New Jersey college students who meet the following criteria are invited to apply for a NJSCPA college scholarship. Each student should be: * A resident of New Jersey attending a New Jersey college or university. * An accounting major, or have a concentration in accounting, with at least 12 credits in accounting completed by the end of the Spring semester. * Currently junior-year status or above in an undergraduate program*. OR * Entering an accounting-related graduate program in the Spring or Fall semester*. * A student may be awarded only one college undergraduate and one college graduate scholarship from the NJSCPA Scholarship Fund at the state level during his/her college tenure.


National Marbles Tournament Scholarship

The 83rd annual National Marbles Tournament comes to Wildwood, NJ in June 2006. The "mibsters"(marble shooters) will compete for national honors, $5,000 in scholarships and numerous prizes and awards. The mibsters will play almost 1,000 games over the four‑day tournament. Champions selected from local tournaments held in cities and counties around the United States will converge on Wildwood for a week of serious marble competition and fun on amusement rides and boardwalk attractions. The marble game played in the tournament is called Ringer. It is played by placing 13 marbles in the form of an "X" in a ten foot circle with players alternating shots. The winner is the player who is first to shoot seven marbles out of the ring. "This tournament gives youngsters from across the country the opportunity to come to Wildwood and pit their skills against the best mibsters in the country," according to national committee members of the National Marbles Tournament. "Marbles is a game that has been played for centuries and this great tournament continues a tradition of competition, sportsmanship and good clean fun." The event will be celebrating its' 46th anniversary in Wildwood. The National Marbles Tournament was first held in 1922. The national committee operates the tournament which is composed of a group of volunteer men & women from various walks of life, from around the country that have a common interest in the game of marbles.

Mississippi Scholarships

The Christine and Clarence Day Scholarship, one of the largest scholarships available at The University of Mississippi, will be awarded to the most outstanding high school graduate interested in pursuing a major in Business Administration. The Day Business Scholar will receive $40,000 ($10,000 per year) over four years of study at Ole Miss. A committee in the School of Business Administration will annually select the single recipient from the incoming freshman class. Sponsor The Day Scholarship Fund was established in memory of Christine Rogers Day and Clarence Cearns Day. Mrs. Day was a native of Aberdeen, Mississippi, who was deeply involved in the community and had an intense interest in education. Mr. Day was a long-time resident of Aberdeen who was active in business and interested in both civic and educational endeavors. Both were committed to the value of higher education and the future of Mississippi. Qualifications Selection of the Day Business Scholar will be based on characteristics that indicate the ability to achieve an exceptional leadership and scholarship record in the School of Business Administration, as well as a subsequent successful career in the business sector. PHEAA New Economy Technology SciTech Scholarship

SciTech Scholarships provide up to $3,000 per year based on total educational costs (tuition and mandatory fees, room and board, and an allowance for books) to students who are enrolled full-time, for a maximum of three years (with certain exceptions for approved five-year degree programs). To qualify you must: * Be a resident of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. * Be a high school graduate. * Be at least a sophomore who is enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a bachelor's degree in an approved science or technology field at an approved Pennsylvania public or private college or university. * Work experience/internships can be credit or noncredit. * Complete an approved internship or relevant work experience in a field related to the student's major with a Pennsylvania company prior to receiving a degree. Edinboro University Pipe Band Scholarship

The Center for Southeast Asian Studies of Kyoto University accepts applications in the spring and the fall from scholars and researchers who work on Southeast Asia, or on any one of the countries in the region, and are interested in spending time in Kyoto, in order to conduct research, write, or pursue other scholarly interests in connection with their fields of study.

Twelve six-month fellowships are available every year on a competitive basis. In exceptional cases, the duration of a fellowship may be extended for an additional six months.

Australian Development Scholarship (ADS)

Australian Development Scholarship (ADS) are funded by the Government of Australia for postgraduate study at Australian universities. The main goal of ADS is to promote Indonesia's human resource capacity to contribute to:
Improving economic management;
Strengthening democratic institutions and practice;
Increasing the accessibility and quality of basic social services; and
Enhancing security and stability.

Scholarships have played a significant role in Australia's development cooperation program in Indonesia, with around 11,000 scholarships provided over more than 50 years. ADS continues to be a major component of the program with up to 270 scholarships offered in 2008/2009.
